Problem:

Creative spaces generate and host original work, prototypes, recordings, performances, media content, but lack tools to track who made what, how it’s used, and how to protect creators’ rights. IP often goes undocumented or is misused by collaborators, AI tools, or third parties.

How Creation Rights Solves This:

Creation Rights Management (CRM)

• Register: Spaces register creative outputs made on-site, music recordings, design prototypes, collaborative artworks, short films, or immersive experiences. The Provenance Graph logs authorship, contributors, timestamps, and tools or platforms used.
• License: Apply Smart Licensing to define usage rights, e.g., co-ownership agreements, open innovation licenses, gallery exhibition terms, or commercialization rights for startup-created IP.
• Monetize: Dynamic Metadata allows for automated revenue sharing (e.g., among collaborators, space operators, producers), creative commons vs. commercial terms, revocation clauses, and opt-in/out for AI use or digital replication.

Creation Rights Exchange (CRX)

• Verification: Platforms, clients, and collaborators can verify IP ownership or usage rights for content created within the space, e.g., when publishing, distributing, or funding the work.
• Enforcement: The Content ID Layer identifies if outputs (e.g., a performance, design, or prototype) are reused without permission, replicated by AI, or published without attribution, triggering license enforcement or monetization.
• Interoperability: CRX can be embedded in studio management systems, member portals, or digital archives to ensure IP registration, version control, and usage tracking from day one.

Example Scenario:

A makerspace hosts a residency where an artist builds an AR installation. Months later, a tech company releases an app using the same interaction mechanics and visuals. CRX detects derivative use through the Content ID Layer, and CRM-enforced metadata enables either licensing, attribution, or a legal challenge, based on the residency agreement.
